A CLOSER LOOK
Connected at work. Connected at home.
Fibre internet
Fibre carries data over a fixed fibre-optic connection and is well suited to cloud applications, video meetings, streaming and multiple connected devices. Upload speed matters as well as download speed, especially when sharing large files or making calls. Available speeds, installation requirements and package terms depend on the fibre network and ISP serving your premises.
LTE connections
LTE connects through a mobile network using a compatible router and SIM. It can be an option where fibre is unavailable, or a secondary connection where the equipment supports failover. Performance varies with signal strength, network congestion, router placement and coverage. Data allowances, fair-use policies and whether a package is tied to a location should be checked before choosing.
Business & home packages
Business requirements may include a fixed IP address, higher upload capacity or specific support arrangements, while a home package may focus on streaming, study and everyday browsing. Not every package includes those business features. We consider your number of users, working patterns and budget, and distinguish the internet service from the Wi-Fi coverage inside your building.
GOOD TO KNOW
Your questions, answered.
Share your address, business or home requirements, approximate user count and current connection details.
Can you check fibre or LTE availability at my address?
Send us your full installation address and tell us whether it is for a business or home. Availability must be checked against the relevant network. Nearby fibre infrastructure or mobile coverage does not by itself confirm that a particular package is available at your premises.
Can LTE be used as a backup for fibre?
It can, with suitable coverage and a router or firewall capable of using a second connection. Failover behaviour depends on the equipment and configuration; active calls or sessions may be interrupted when the connection changes. Data costs and power requirements also need to be considered.
Will faster internet fix weak Wi-Fi?
Not necessarily. Your ISP connection and the wireless network inside your premises are different parts of the setup. Walls, router placement and the number of devices affect Wi-Fi. Additional access points or a better network layout may be more useful than a faster internet package.
